Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the goddess Athena from Greek mythology.

Mythological Culture: Known as Minerva in Roman mythology, Athena is the goddess of handicraft, warfare and the protectress of cities in Greece with Athens being her flagship city of protection.

Khoryphos

First Appearance: Eternals (Vol. 2) #1 (July, 1985)

Creators: Peter Gillis, Sal Buscema

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the mythological figure Orpheus from Greek mythology.

Mythological Culture: Orpheus is known as the mythological figure of music and poetry, and was a member of the Argonauts. He was regarded as “the father of songs”, his music and singing could charm plants and animals alike, divert the course rivers were flowing, and even charmed Greek gods such as Hades.
