Eternals of Polaria

They are the Eternals community equivalent to Russia. Ikaris was a Polarian Eternal who migrated to Olympia in exchange for an Olympian Eternal as a peace offering between the two societies.

Mythological Culture: Also spelled as Wiracocha, Viracocha is the god of creation in Incan mythology and is seen as the creator of all things or the origin from which all creation is derived. Viracocha is also considered as the god of the sun, the sea, and storms.

Mythological Culture: Also known as Avias Vilates from Etruscan mythology, Ajax the Lesser is a historical figure best known for leading the Locrian contingent during the Trojan War whilst Ares, also known as Mars from Roman mythology, is the Greek god of courage and war who is best known for his savagery and bloodlust.

Mythological Culture: Also known as Bredbeedle, Bertilak de Hautdesert is best known as the mythological figure The Green Knight, an exorcist who wears an all green outfit as documented in the Arthurian poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the mythological figure Papa Legba from Haitan mythology.

Mythological Culture: Papa Legba is a deity known as an Iwa/Ioa. Haitians call Papa Legba the great elocutionary for his ability to speak every human language and grant permission for humans to cross-communicate with other Iwa’s/Ioa’s as an intermediary.

Mythological Culture: Sometimes interpreted as Khors from Slavic mythology, Dazhbog is the sky and solar god who rules over the twelve Zodiacs and guides the sun. Dazhbog’s role meant he always dies at dusk but is always rebirthed at dawn.

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the demigod Karna from the Hindu religion.

Mythological Culture: This deity had many different names but his birth name was Vasusnea. Karna is a demigod of Hinduism with royal lineage, Karna’s father is the sun god Surya and his mother is Princess Kunti, mother of the Pandavas. Karna was born with a golden armoured suit and earrings that granted him invincibility so long as he wore them.

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the god Kresnik from Slavic mythology.

Mythological Culture: Also known as Svarozhits in Slavic mythology, Kresnik is the Slavic god of storms, fire, and the summer solstice. Kresnik lives in a fantastical country and rules over the “world mountain” which has been described as a terrain covered in gold and crystal.

Zorrja

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the fictional figure Zorro from The Curse of Capistrano by Johnston McCulley. Mythological Culture: Don Diego de la Vega is Zorro, the fictional figure created in August 1919. Zorro is a masked vigilante wearing an all-black outfit including a cape, a sombrero cordobés, and an eye mask. Zorro defends the common folk in Pueblo de Los Ángeles against tyrants. Zorro was an inspiration for Bob Kane and Bill Finger in creating DC’s Batman.

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the god Tengri from the Turkish religion.

Mythological Culture: Tengri is the creator god of Tengriism, a religion that derives from Turkey but was also practiced by the Mongols. Tengri was synonymous with the sky and his appearance was never personified as he was deemed timeless and infinite.

Mythological Culture: Also known as Afrasiab in Persian mythology, Alp Er Tunga is the historical figure best known as the ruler of the Saka people and a ruthless combatant for the Turkish against the Persians. He is viewed as a heroic figure in Turkish mythology but a villainous figure in Persian mythology.

Mythological Inspiration: This Eternal is inspired by the god Thor from Norse mythology.

Mythological Culture: Also known as Donar in German mythology, Thor is the god of thunder, lightning, storms, and trees and wields a hammer called Mjolnir as both a destructive weapon and a tool to provide blessings.
